What began as a passion for cooking grew into a lifelong career serving in hotels, corporate dining, country clubs, and large-scale hospitality operations.
Along the way, he learned that great catering isn't just about preparing delicious food—it's about creating an experience people will remember long after the event is over.
After decades of building his skills and serving thousands of guests, Chef Darryl stepped out on faith and founded Southside Caterers of Dallas. His vision was simple: create a catering company known for quality food, dependable service, and genuine hospitality. Today, that same vision guides every event, whether he's serving a corporate luncheon, a church gathering, a wedding, or a family celebration.
For Chef Darryl, success isn't measured by the number of meals served. It's measured by the relationships built, the memories created, and the trust clients place in Southside Caterers to be part of life's most important moments.
